The Happy House Chipperfield play session Code of Conduct

For Participants (Children):

  • Respect Others:

    • Treat other participants, staff, and volunteers with kindness and respect.

    • Avoid any form of bullying, teasing, or name-calling.

  • Listen to Instructions:

    • Pay attention to instructions provided by staff and volunteers.

    • Follow safety guidelines and rules for activities.

  • Share and Take Turns:

    • Share toys, equipment, and play spaces with others.

    • Take turns in games and activities.

  • Use Play Equipment Safely:

    • Use play equipment and materials appropriately and safely.

    • Report any damaged equipment to staff immediately.

  • Personal Boundaries:

    • Respect the personal space and boundaries of other participants.

    • Report any uncomfortable situations to staff.

  • Clean Up After Yourself:

    • Help keep the play area tidy by cleaning up toys and materials after use.

  • Report Concerns:

    • If you feel uncomfortable or witness inappropriate behavior, report it to a staff member or adult.

  • Have Fun:

    • Enjoy the play session and have fun in a positive and inclusive manner.

For Adults (Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers):

  • Supervision:

    • Supervise and remain responsible for the child/children you are accompanying.

  • Respectful Behavior:

    • Model respectful behavior for children by treating staff, volunteers, and other participants with courtesy.

  • Follow Guidelines:

    • Adhere to any guidelines, rules, or instructions provided by staff and volunteers.

  • Communication:

    • Communicate openly and respectfully with staff, volunteers, and other adults.

    • Report any concerns or issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.

  • Safety First:

    • Prioritize the safety of all participants and adhere to safety protocols.

    • Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.

  • Non-Disruptive Presence:

    • Ensure that your presence does not disrupt the activities of the play session.

  • Positive Reinforcement:

    • Encourage positive behavior and interactions among children.

    • Address behavioral issues calmly and constructively.

  • Participation:

    • Encourage and support your child's participation while respecting their comfort levels.

  • Respect Privacy:

    • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.

  • Enjoy the Session:

    • Participate in the play session in a positive and supportive manner.
